Charles Garcin

Charles Garcin lives and works between Paris and the South of France. Graduated from Central Saint Martin’s School of Fine Art, his work generally takes the form of every day or
design objects that are not necessarily related to art.

Toys, books, hats, costumes, rugs are forms that are meant to “domesticate”an art
that is sacralized in museums. It is some sort of “domestic art” one can touch and play with.
Themes vary but are mainly focused on the idea of the artist and the scandal,
and the place of the artist within the art institution.

His work has been selected amongst the best of his degree show and is
now part of the University of the Arts of London’s Collection.
